Associate Attorney
Background
Abolfazl (Alan) Mohajer grew up in Iran and brings a rich international perspective to his legal practice. He earned his LL.B. and LL.M. in International Law from top universities in Iran. Before entering the legal field, Alan held a B.A. in English Literature as well. After relocating to the United States, he studied law at William & Mary Law School in Virginia, where he also served as a research assistant in patent law. During law school, Alan served as the Vice-President of the National Iranian American Law Students Association (NIALSA).
Legal Experience
Alan has a unique legal background, having practiced patent law for more than nine years and served as the Head of the Intellectual Property Office at Golestan Science and Technology Park in Iran. There, he advised start-ups and entrepreneurs on complex IP issues and organized national training programs on patent prosecution and litigation for both patent applicants and examiners in collaboration with the Iran national IP Office. He also served as a university lecturer, with a focus on international law.
Before joining CBE Law Group, Alan worked as Director and Legal Department Manager at a healthcare company (Premium Health OC Inc), where he gained significant experience in employment law, healthcare matters, and workers' compensation issues. He assisted general counsel with legal analysis, document drafting, and litigation support. At CBE, he defends employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims, managing cases from inception through resolution, including litigation before the WCAB.
Outside of Work
Outside the legal field, he enjoys watching movies, hiking, cooking, and spending time outdoors with his friends. He is fluent in Persian and remains passionate about the intersection of law, technology, and global legal systems.
